FOLLOWING MY SURGERY, MY THREE SISTERS ALL TESTED AND ONE SISTER FOUND SHE HAD A TUMOR IN AN EARLY STAGE.

Thanksgiving 2010 we went to visit our daughter, who was studying in Rome. Being on holiday and traveling, Dianne and I were together 24 hours a day for 2 weeks. Dianne, my guardian angel, felt my bathroom habits were excessive. I felt fine and had not experienced any symptoms such as weight loss, fatigue, blood in stool. Upon returning home, I followed up with my doctor and had a colonoscopy which detected a cancerous tumor. At the time, I was unaware of any family history of colon cancer. After my diagnosis, I learned of a strong history on both sides of my family. Following my surgery, my three sisters all tested and one sister found she had a tumor in an early stage.
