18th Annual Boxer 500!

The 2026 Boxer 500 brought another incredible morning of fun, community and colon cancer awareness to Werner Park on Sunday, August 30! Hundreds of participants, volunteers, sponsors and supporters came together for one important reason: to help raise awareness about colon cancer prevention and the importance of early detection.

Participants arrived bright and early, many sporting their most colorful and creative boxer shorts, ready to hit the course. The morning included a timed 5K run, 1-mile walk, 1K Kids Run and Kids Dash, giving everyone a way to be part of the fun.

But the Boxer 500 is about much more than crossing the finish line. It’s a morning to celebrate survivors, remember those we’ve lost and bring our community together in the fight against colon cancer. After the run and walk, participants stuck around to enjoy a pancake breakfast, the Kids Zone and plenty of time with family and friends.

Most importantly, proceeds from the Boxer 500 stay right here in our community, supporting the Great Plains Colon Cancer Task Force’s work to increase awareness, encourage screening and provide resources that can help save lives.

Thank you to everyone who ran, walked, volunteered, sponsored and supported the 2026 Boxer 500. We couldn’t do it without you!
